He earned a BS in Kinesiology from Indiana University and worked as an athletic trainer before returning to school to pursue dentistry. He graduated from dental school in 2004 at age 29 and went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Florida, where he gained advanced experience in surgery, endodontics, and TMJ care.
